Barf worthy as a child and still feel the same way.
Five months since the fire. It’s still hard to believe this happened to my little town. Sometimes I forget. But then I look out my window or go for a drive and I see the destruction.
I can recall trying to make my kitten take a spin on my record player. I was 7, seemed like a fun thing to do at the time.
The phones of my childhood look as weird to the children of today as the old wall mounted phones of my grandparents generation.
You couldn’t buy these phones where I lived, they remained property of the phone company. When you moved, you left the phone.
There aren’t any good horror movies anymore. In the 90’s we were scared of the end of the world, so we made movies about that. In the 80’s it was serial killers and psychopaths. Today, we just turn on the news.
It would be nice to have good horror movies again.
Imaginary friends… voices in his head… might have been an indicator of things to come.
On a side note, I always wished my stuffed animals came to life and I checked them carefully when I got up in the morning to see if they had moved. They never did. 😦
